Please send us Ten Lousy Bucks!

We've been watching the economic news intently lately and like the rest of you we've been vacillating between screaming and curling into the fetal position weeping silently.

But NO MORE! Normally this is where we'd write a standard issue (and entirely accurate) statement about the importance of the Arts in our society and the rapidly growing divide between production costs and ticket sales.

But really we just need white-out.

Help us out.  We're children of the computer age and we make LOTS of mistakes when using that ancient invention known as "pen and paper." And we need lots and lots (a case or two really) of "white-out" to cover our caffeine-addled errors. Do you know how much a case of white out costs?  Also, we have plenty of pencils, but we're using up all of the erasers on the ends, so we have to get extra erasers.......a whole bunch of extra erasers. And then we found out that actors use hairspray. TONS of hairspray. (Seriously, it's a like chemical bomb went off backstage.) Hairspray isn't cheap.

In all seriousness, with costs rising in advertising, rent, insurance and other factors required for us to continue plying our wares in Los Angeles, and with the economy as *interesting* as it has been -- business is, as they say, tight.  And with us, every penny counts.

That's why we are asking for just Ten Lousy Bucks.

We are also doing our part to be a good neighbor with our other local business owners and managers.  We've had over a 1000 people come see our first two productions at art|Works and quite frankly, we know it has some positive residual effect with many of our neighbors.  When we do well, our business neighbors do well.

So, if you could see your way clear to sending just Ten Lousy Bucks (or, we wouldn't mind if you covered for someone else that won't respond to this letter) we would greatly appreciate it.  Just click on the link above or below. You'll get a special mention in the program for our next production and maybe a sloppy wet kiss from Tiger at the lobby door. (Don't say we didn't warn you.)

Thanks for your time and consideration.
